It is that time of the year when students of all levels and ages are faced with tests, practice tests, and important exams. In many cases, failing an exam means summer school or tutoring. Definitely NOT what students hope for after finishing up the school year...
For many students, the stress and pressure mounts each day closer to exam time, and it is felt in different ways. Some will feel restless and nervous, others will have repeated thoughts of self-doubt. Others will experience physical symptoms of stress, such as headaches, stomach aches, and digestive issues. The symptoms make it difficult to focus and maintain calm and confident attitude.
So what can teachers do to help students feel better?
Teachers can do a lot to guide and support their students in the weeks and days approaching exam time. We’ve searched our resources and found several videos that will appeal to your students, and can be used as test and exam stress busters.
The videos are full of great tips for exam preparation and study strategies. Many provide ideas of how students can prepare for the flashes of stress and anxiety they most likely will experience during exam time.
We’ve also created a number of fun and interactive lessons to help reinforce the friendly advice covered in the videos. The lessons can be found on the MultiTeach Lessons Community, accessed directly, through Lessons Online, or through the Lessons App in Snowflake MultiTeach.
