NUITEQ adds K-5 Curriculum for English, Science, and New K-8 Curriculum for Math
NUITEQ is proud and excited to announce the availability of more standards-aligned educational content for Math, English Language Arts (ELA), and Science that is aligned to the latest Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

Educators can now access the new curriculum inside NUITEQ Snowflake for English Language Arts (ELA) and science from kindergarten through grade 5. NUITEQ has also added math curriculum from kindergarten through grade 8.
The company's continued effort to create a comprehensive curriculum that follows Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles means including instructional videos, anchor charts, lesson plans, and step-by-step instructions for the whole group and independent practice activities. NUITEQ Snowflake lesson plans include tips for scaffolded and accelerated learners to best meet the diverse learning needs of modern classrooms.
NUITEQ Snowflake Ocean Activity and Worksheets
The NUITEQ Snowflake curriculum shown above guides students in “Analyzing the Author’s Reasons and Evidence in an Informational Text” as required in the grade 5 Common Core ELA standard (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.5.9b). Students learn about the human impact on the environment through Ocean pollution through a close reading of the anchor chart and mentor article as they organize observations on the included student graphic organizer.
NUITEQ Snowflake Fossils Activity and Lesson Plan
The grade 4 NUITEQ Snowflake curriculum above is titled “Fossils: Tales of Long Ago” will have students learning about fossils while meeting the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) of “Identify evidence from patterns in rock formations and fossils in rock layers for changes in a landscape over time to support an explanation for changes in a landscape over time” (4-ESS1-1).
The lesson activity begins with the reading about fossils, also addressing the Common Core ELA-Literacy standard of “Determine the meaning of general academic and domain-specific words or phrases in a text relevant to a grade 4 topic or subject area” (CCSS.ELA-Literacy.RI.4.4). Then, using close reading skills and context clues, students will answer a 10 question quiz. NUITEQ Snowflake Geometry Activity and Worksheet
For Grade 8 Mathematics students, this “Missing Angles - Applying Geometry Theorems” NUITEQ Snowflake curriculum meets the Common Core standards of “Using informal arguments to establish facts about the angle sum and exterior angle of triangles, about the angles created when parallel lines are cut by a transversal, and the angle-angle criterion for similarity of triangles” (CCSS.Math.Content.8.G.A.5). Students are presented with triangles and parallel lines cut by a transversal and are asked to use write how they calculated each missing angle.
The included instructional video walks students through the concepts and characteristics of geometric transformations and the provided worksheet reinforces learning.
