NUITEQ®, the pioneering multi-touch software technology company, announced that one of its co-founders and CTO Mikael Bauer was nominated for the Mer-IT award 2011 in the category IT-person of the Year.
Mikael has been one of the driving forces behind NUITEQ and its award-winning multi-touch software product Snowflake Suite.
During his pursuit for an university degree at the LTU (Luleå Technical University) in Skellefteå at the education Computer Games Programming, in June 2007 he co-founded NUITEQ.
The start of NUITEQ was a direct result of a successful completion an university project, related to multi-touch technology.
Some said, that by Mikael starting NUITEQ and focusing his time, passion and effort on multi-touch technology, the Swedish gaming community lost one of its most potential developers.
"I'm very honored to have been nominated for this award. It is a nice addition to the awards that we have received recently and it really shows the recognition for NUITEQ both locally and globally.", says Mikael Bauer, NUITEQ's co-founder and CTO.
"I'm excited that Mikael is recognized with this nomination for his achievements with NUITEQ. Mikael has been fulfilling a pivotal role in making the company what it is today.", says Harry van der Veen, NUITEQ's CEO.
In 2010 NUITEQ won the Mer-IT company of the Year 2010 award.
